Note: The LP Feature must be deactivated for the functions Push2Talk and Line
Info Layer. If the LP feature of a key has been disabled, use the Preferences menu
to access the key's configuration menu. Open the Key x Function menu of the key
(see "SmartLabel keys" on page 75), scroll down to LP Feature and press .

Programming the function keys
The function keys on the phone and on all connected expansion modules can be mapped on the phone
– with the exception of the navigation keys – and on the phone's web interface. We recommend using
the web interface which is faster and more comfortable.
Function key settings on the phone
1. Press .
2. Select Preferences, if not already selected (Fig. 1), and press .

3. Select Function keys (Fig. 2), and press . In the Function keys menu (Fig. 3, below), select the
function key type, i.e., context-sensitive, dedicated, or SmartLabel keys, and continue as described
below. If expansion modules are connected to the phone, their function keys are also programmed
on the phone.
Context-sensitive keys
The default settings (see "At a glance" on page 18) are the four key events (see "Key Events" on
page 119) directory, call history, forwarding of all calls, and info/help. You can also map a speed dial
number onto each of these keys. ACD enables a phone operated on a Broadsoft application server to
be used as a call agent (see http://wiki.snom.com/Interoperability/PBX/Broadsoft#Call_Agent_ACD_
State).
In this example, the default settings directory and call history will be changed to LDAP and a speed
dial number, respectively.
