d. ATV0: Turn off verbose mode (responses will be 0 instead of OK)
e. ATE0: Turns off local echo
f. AT&W: Save configuration to memory
g. Power off the modem and connect to the MAXPage unit.
h. A null modem adapter or null modem serial lead must be used between the MAXPage and the modem.
3. The modem connected to the BASEPage PC must be setup in the following manner.
a. Connect the modem to the PC using a standard serial cable and setup a TAP contact as normal.
b. The default BASEPage TAP gateway settings should be used. The telephone number simply needs to
be entered into the Phone field.
c. Any other settings can be changed as required.
