Tyre load capacities
Determine the carrying capacity index of the tyres. The carrying
capacity index must be compatible with the weight of the machine
and the speed travelled.

4.2 Checking suitability of combination machine
The hoeing machine is suitable for attachment to a combination
machine (e. g. steering frame).
INFORMATION
The machine can only be combined with a steering frame
if there is no permanently mounted steering frame.
In order to be able to guide the existing hoeing machine, the combina‐
tion machine must
n have a three-point linkage for connecting to the hoeing machine,
n be able to bear the weight of the hoeing machine.
4.3 Preparations on the tractor
Various tests and settings are required before mounting the imple‐
ment.
Checklist
Tyres
Check the air pressure of the tractor tyres.
Under dicult conditions: Use additional wheel weights
or ll tyres evenly with water.
n Observe the instructions of the tractor manufac‐
turer.
n The air pressure must be the same in all the tyres of
one axle.
Lifting rods
Check the length of the lifting rods.
n Observe the instructions of the tractor manufac‐
turer.
n Adjust the lifting rods of the tractor to the same
length.
