6.3.4 Check and adjust distances of the hoeing elements
The hoeing elements are attached ex works to the toolbar at distances
appropriate to the crop. In order to be able to adjust the hoeing ele‐
ments exactly to the current condition of the crop, the user must check
the distances and tool widths and correct any deviations.
Targets:
n The distances of the hoeing elements at the frame correspond
exactly to the row distances of the crops.
n The width of the tools corresponds exactly to the width of the strip
of soil to be hoed.
1. Determine the row distances of the crops.
2. Check the distances of the hoeing elements on the toolbar. To do
so, measure the distance from the centre of the implement for each
hoeing element.
3. In case of large deviations, move the hoeing elements on the
toolbar.
In case of small deviations, move the tools on the sliding parts.
1. Measure the width of the strip of soil to be hoed (section).
2. Measure the distance between the two outermost tools on each
hoeing element.
3. In case of deviations, move the tools on the sliding parts.
