6.2.4 Lift and lower hoeing elements with GPS
6.2.4.1 Section Control and GPS
The control Section Control (Section Control) is able to process GPS
data of the tractor. The control determines which areas the tractor has
already driven and is currently driving on.
Preconditions:
√ The hoeing implement is connected to the ISOBUS socket on the
tractor via the ISOBUS cable.
√ In the tractor cab, the ISOBUS-compatible operation terminal is
connected to the inCab socket.
√ The tractor is equipped with a GPS antenna and connected to the
GPS receiver.
√ Task Control (TC) is activated in the operation terminal.
√ The overlap tolerance is specied. This is the distance that the
hoeing implement needs to drive into the headland or transverse
row before it is lifted (see below).
For this purpose, the distance between the GPS antenna and the
point on the hoeing element is measured at which the hoeing
element is lifted or lowered while driving.
√ The eld edges and the contours of the transverse rows are
recorded on the ISOBUS-compatible operation terminal in the
tractor.
1. The eld edges and the contours of the transverse rows are
recorded on the ISOBUS-compatible operation terminal in the
tractor.
2. Determine the overlap tolerance and enter it in the settings menu
of Section Control .
3. Determine the minimum speed and enter it in the settings menu of
Section Control .
4. Drive along the sections at a constant speed.
ð
The hoeing elements are automatically lifted at the eld
edges and the transverse rows.
Ä Settings menu Section Control: see ‘Settings’ menu, page 87.
