5.2 Preparing for road travel
Checklist
Connections of the machine to the tractor n The top link pin must be secured.
n The connections of the lower links to the lower link
recesses must be secured.
Folding of the machine n A folding machine must be folded in and secured against
unintentional folding out, e.g. with lashing straps.
Check chains and stabilisers
Target:
n Central position of the machine behind the
tractor when driving on public roads
n Observe the instructions of the tractor manufacturer.
n For road travel, the lower links must be xed (no lateral
movement).
Lighting equipment n The lighting equipment must meet country-specic
requirements and be fully functional.
Control units of the tractor n Observe the instructions of the tractor manufacturer.
n To avoid unintentional movements of the machine: Lock
the control units of the tractor.
