Checklist
Check chains and stabilisers
Check free movement of the check chains and stabil‐
isers.
Aim:
n Central position of the implement behind the
tractor when driving on public roads
n Observe the instructions of the tractor manufac‐
turer.
Working in the eld:
n The lower links must be xed (no lateral move‐
ment).
Road travel:
n The lower links must be xed (no lateral move‐
ment).
Lower link balls and top link balls
Fit the lower link balls on the pins of the lower links and
the top link ball on the pin of the top link.
n The lower link balls and the top link ball must have
an inner diameter for category 2 pins (diameter
26 mm).
Operation terminal n Install the operation terminal in the tractor cab.
When working on slopes
Secure the tractor against downward drift.
n Use twin tyres or track discs.
Top link
Check attachment position of the top link.
For tractors with several attachment positions:
n Mount the top link parallel to the ground or only
slightly inclined to the implement.
ATTENTION
Damage to the tractor cab
If the top link rises sharply towards the implement, the
chopping implement, when folded, can damage the
tractor cab.
4.4 Attaching the implement
WARNING
Risk of accident due to unsuitable tractor
If the tractor is not suitable for the implement, compo‐
nents of the implement may be overloaded and the
tractor implement combination may not be steered
safely.
This may result in accidents with injuries or death of
persons or damage to the implement.
Before attachment, check the suitability of the tractor
for the implement.
