If sump is filled using acid side tank, control opens acid
tank dump ball valve (5 out 3).
Jet Ball Valve Opening:
Control opens jet valve (4 out 2) during the whole
filling phase to avoid build up of an air pocket in
recirculation piping. Air pocket would prevent recir-
culation pump from priming.
Filling Completed:
Once sump level detects water (1 in 8) for 3 consecutive
seconds:
If sump is filled directly, control de-energizes sump
hot water fill valve (4 out 1), and de-energizes heat
exchanger steam valve (4 out 14) – if option applies
and treatment temperature is over 165ºF (73.8ºC).
If sump is filled using alkaline side tank, control closes
alkaline tank dump ball valve (4 out 9)
If sump is filled using acid side tank, control closes acid
tank dump ball valve (5 out 3)
Control closes jet valve (4 out 2).
Filling Alarm:
If after 5 minutes (default value adjustable in service
mode only), sump level (1 in 8) does not detect water,
control gives an alarm.
3.3.2 Recirculation
Initialization
Control closes jet valve (4 out 2).
Control energizes header system (see S
ECTION 3.11,
H
EADER SYSTEM).
Recirculation Phase
If water temperature is over 140°F [60ºC], damper
(4 out 8) is opened. 5 seconds later(15 seconds if tem-
perature is over 160°F [71.1ºC]), control energizes recir-
culation pump and jet valve. If damper was open, it
closes 20 seconds after jet valve is opened.
If bottle wash is active, bottle wash valve (6 out 1) opens
when damper closes.
If detergent injection is needed, detergent is injected
(see S
ECTION 3.4, DETERGENT INJECTION).
Control energizes sump steam valve (4 out 3) and starts
timer (time adjustable in automatic mode only for each
treatment) for recirculation phase.
If treatment is heated: sump heater monitor is started
(see S
ECTION 3.5, SUMP HEATING MONITOR).
If central header option is available and is used during
cycle, see S
ECTION 3.11, HEADER SYSTEM.
If bottle wash option is available and is selected to run
during cycle, see S
ECTION 3.12, BOTTLE WASH OPTION.
When recirculation time is elapsed, control de-ener-
gizes bottle wash ball valve [6 out 1] (only if option
applies), header system and opens jet valve if it is not
open.
Non-Recirculated Phase:
If automatic rack flush system option is available;
control energizes automatic water rack flush (6 out 0)
during non-recirculation phase.
Control energizes non-recirculated final rinse fill valve
(6 out 3), heat exchanger steam valve (4 out 14) and
starts a 1:30 minute timer (default value adjustable in
automatic mode only) for non-recirculation phase.
Once non-recirculation phase is complete or sump
level switch (1 in 8) detects water, control de-energizes
non-recirculated final rinse fill valve (6 out 3), header
system, heat exchanger steam valve (4 out 14) and
automatic water rack flush (6 out 0).
3.4 DETERGENT INJECTION
3.4.1 Time Based Injection
Proper detergent pump is activated for selected time.
If injection is paused, injection time is restarted when
cycle is resumed.
3.4.2 Conductivity Injection
Non Guaranteed Treatment
Proper injection pump is started.
When conductivity is reached, detergent pump is de-
activated and control waits 10 seconds before allowing
injection again. Conductivity setpoint is maintained all
through recirculation phase.
If after 3 minutes (default value adjustable in service
mode only) detergent concentration set point is not
reached, control gives an alarm.
Guaranteed Treatment
Sump heater monitor is started (see S
ECTION 3.5, SUMP
HEATING MONITOR).
Control waits until temperature setpoint is reached.
Proper injection pump is started.
When conductivity is reached, detergent pump is de-
activated and control waits 10 seconds before allowing
injection again. Conductivity setpoint is maintained all
through recirculation phase.
If after 3 minutes (default value adjustable in service
mode only) detergent concentration set point is not
reached, control gives an alarm.
