: Remove the sleeve (1) from
assembly tool 5910 890 2212.

: Attach a new snap ring (1) to the
magnet (2) so that the gap in the
snap ring is aligned with the flat
side of the tool shank (arrow).

: Push the slotted diameter of the
sleeve over the magnet and snap
ring.
The inner pin (1) must point towards
the flat face (2) of the tool's shank.

: Press the assembly tool down in
the sleeve until the magnet is at
the end of the guide slits.
Stand the tool on a suitable surface
(wooden board).

: Remove the sleeve and push it
as far as possible over the
opposite end of the assembly
tool's shank.
The inner pin must point towards
the flat face.
376RA327 TG
: Apply the tapered end of the
assembly tool
5910 890 2212 to the piston
boss, hold the piston steady and
press the tool shank home until
the snap ring slips into the
groove.

Note:
The tool must be precisely aligned
in axial direction of the piston pin.
: The snap ring (1) must be fitted in
such a way that the gap (arrow) in
the snap ring does not coincide
with the recess (arrow) in the
piston.
