11� The EDIT GLOBAL ANNOTATIONS button opens a screen for editing global annotations,
which will then be made available during patient cases� (See the “Editing Global Annotations
section immediately following this section�)
12� The LIVE PREVIEW button determines what displays in the preview window of the Capture
screen� Select On for live camera image, or O for the last captured image�
13� The GUI MONITOR button allows the touchscreen interface to appear on an external
touchscreen monitor (the monitor must be connected via VGA and Serial connection to the
SDC3 console)� Select Internal for the interface to appear on the SDC3 screen, or External for
the interface to appear on the external monitor
14� Pressing the RECORD MODE button toggles between “Real Time and At the End�

1� Select a specialty from the dropdown menu, or use the keyboard to enter text�
2� Select a procedure and/or annotation from the dropdown menus, or use the keyboard to
enter text� (Procedure and annotation options change according to the specialty selected�)
3� Press the ADD or DEL button on the keyboard to add or delete entries�
4� Press the button to close the Edit Annotations screen and return to the General
Application Settings screen�
