Serial Cable Pinouts
TABLE 9-1 shows the pinouts for the RJ45-DIN serial cable (Sun part number 530-
3544) included with the 2500 Series Array ship kit.
▼ To Set Up the Terminal Emulation Program
To set up a terminal emulation program to connect to the serial port:
1. Select VT100 emulation.
2. Remove any modem strings from the connection profile.
3. Set up the connection profile with the following communication settings:
■ Data Rate: 38400
■ Data Bits: 8
■ Parity: None
■ Stop Bits: 1
■ Flow Control: None
▼ To Establish a Connection With the Serial Port
To establish a connection with the serial port and display the Service Interface menu:
1. Send a Break. Repeat until text appears.
