6.3 PROCEDURE FOR IDENTIFYING EQUIPMENT
ERRORS IF THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT USE THE
TABLET
The procedure for identifying the errors logged on the machine is described below if the customer
does not use the tablet.
This procedure is useful for facilitating diagnostics during technical service interventions
PROCEDURE :
Connect the PC to the equipment and open the Terminal. Launch the command @RERRORLOG#
to read the error log. In this case, a screenshot must be taken on the PC, which must be attached
to the Service Job report.
If you want to use the Terminal, it is important to launch the Error Log reading command BE-
FORE connecting a tablet.
6.4 TERMINAL PROGRAM FOR DIAGNOSTICS WITH PC
1. Connect the equipment to the laptop, as described in the Terminal Software video, available on
the E-Learning platform.
2. The rst time that the PC is connected with equipment that used the Terminal program, the
laptop asks to install a driver for the detected device. Stop the automatic search for the driver on
Windows update and select the manual path on your laptop where the le was previously saved,
which can be downloaded from Technogym Direct ->Product Release section -> Terminal SW:
myrun_usb_driver.inf.
The driver is the same for all TG products that use the Terminal SW, therefore once the driver
has been installed, the procedure does not need to be repeated for the remaining ones In
case of problems with the “Terminal” executable: close the program, disconnect the USB
cable and in sequence, reconnect the USB cable and start the executable again.
The protocol described in the document lists the set of messages that can be sent to the device.
The messages are strictly in ASCII. Using this executable you can conduct a series of readings and
diagnostics and receive responses from the system.
3. Launch the software: Terminal.exe;
4. The rst time the executable is opened, set a few settings on the screen as shown below:
▪ Click Rescan, to the top left;
▪ Select the correct COM Port;
▪ Flag +CR;
