9.8.2. Speed parameters [F1]
The speed parameters are accessed in the SETUP menu by pressing the [F1] key.
START-SPEED: start up speed of the “X”-”Y” drive motors prior to reaching full speed, a lower speed
causes less backlash when starting and stopping. Speed values are shown in Metric-mm/min or
Imperial- inches/min.
ACCEL TIME(S): the acceleration time is measured in seconds; this time is used to measure the ramp
up speed time from start to the set cut speed.
CORNER ACCEL(S): this is the adjusted ramp down/up speed at corners/change of direction.
MAX JOG SPEED: this is the maximum speed the system will travel in the Manual Step Mode and
repositioning when in a program. ” Program command G00 in mm/min or inch/min “
MAX CUTTING SPEED(S): fastest preset speed in a live cutting program, measured in mm/min or
inch/min.
RETURN HOME SPEED: speed at which the system returns to the home point, measured in mm/min
or inch/min
REVERSE/FORWARD SPEED: in automatic mode, after pausing, the backward/forward speed when
on a cut path, measured in mm/min or inch/min.
SLOWDOWN ANGLE: angle below which CNC will decelerate for cornering.
ARC RADIUS: holes with a radius smaller than this will be cut at Small Hole Speed.
