Operator Manual, Revision T-1 79
The G21 code is associated with Metric (mm) dimensional program input to the controller. The G21
code must be used at the start of the program.
9.10.13. G00 – rapid travel
The G00 code is used for rapid travel between parts or positions in the program, it is also used for
torch/consumable change/inspection, this action is performed at maximum speed.
Format: G00 Xn Yn.
9.10.14. G01 – linear interpolation (motion in a straight line)
During interpolation commands the control will precisely and automatically calculate a series of very
tiny single axis departures keeping the torch as close to the linear path as possible. The F command
may be used to program the feed rate.
Format: G01 Xn Yn or G01 Xn Yn Fn.
9.10.15. G02- G03 – circular interpolation (motion along a circular arc)
Circular interpolation requires the system to precisely coordinate two axes. G02 establishes a mode
for clockwise circular arcs. G03 establishes a mode for counter-clockwise circular arcs. The center
of an arc is identified by I, J or K to establish relative offsets from the starting point of the arc to the
center. The code R may be used to replace I and J, R represents the radius of the arc, it is a positive
value and can be used to give the radius of an arc up to 180°.
Format: G02[03] Xn Yn In Jn or G02[03] Xn Yn Rn.
9.10.16. G04 – pause/dwell
This is the dwell command, it causes the system to stop for a specified length of time. The input
value is L, in seconds.
Format: G04 Ln
9.10.17. G40 – kerf off (compensation factor)
The G40 code cancels the Kerf compensation factor that is switched on by inputting G41 or G42.
The system should be stationary when code changes are made.
