Load the tip boxes, then remove the tip box covers.
Do not stack the tip boxes.

Place the OpenArray

Plate in the plate holders.

Clear the instrument deck, empty and replace the waste bin, and close the instrument door.

Allow the instrument to perform a self-test if the run is being started after the software is launched
(see “Perform a system self-test” on page 19).
A self-test is performed only if Full Run is selected after the software is launched. It is not
performed before each run.

Configure the run—quick run workflow
Configure the run with sample plate information
The default radio button on the Quick Run screen (Load with sample plate information or Load
without sample plate information) is set in the preferences (see “Set the general settings” on
page 15).
A sample plate file (384-well CSV file) is required. A TPF or SPF file is required. See “File formats” on
page 11.

Navigate to the Quick Run screen. Ensure that the Load with sample plate information radio button is
selected.

In the Quick Run screen, in the Sample plate section, click Choose File.

Navigate to the location of the CSV file, then select the file.
The name of the file is displayed in the Sample plate field.

In the OpenArray plate name and position section, click Choose File for each OpenArray
™
Plate.
Four TPF or SPF files can be imported.
The name of the TPF or SPF file is displayed in the position of the OpenArray
™
Plate.
4.
Click a section of the sample plate to change the corresponding OpenArray
™
Plate.
Note: The first section of the sample plate is selected. Subsequent sections are selected
automatically.
