Allow the instrument to perform a self-test if the run is being started after the software is launched
(see “Perform a system self-test” on page 19).
A self-test is performed only if Full Run is selected after the software is launched. It is not
performed before each run.

Accessories Kit.
These materials are used to seal the OpenArray
™
Plates.
IMPORTANT! OpenArray
™
Plates must be sealed immediately after loading. For more information,
see the user guide or application guide for your assay.
Configure the experiment design for the full run workflow
A sample plate file (CSV file) is optional. A TPF or SPF file is required. See “File formats” on page 11.
See Figure 23 on page 48.
Navigate to the Full Run screen.
If sample plate files and TPF or SPF files are imported, the default folder locations are set in the
preferences (see “Set the preferences” on page 15).

In the Configure design pane, in the Experiment type section, select an experiment type.

Gene expression
•
Genotyping
•
3-sample fixed panel
•
4-sample fixed panel

In the Plate format section, select a format.
The values in the Plate format section depend on the experiment type that was selected in step 1.

If the Pipettor section is displayed, select a type of pipette.

The Pipettor section is only displayed if Gene expression or Genotyping was selected in step 1.
The number of OpenArray
™
Plates displayed in the Add your OpenArray plate serial numbers
section depends on the selections made in the previous steps.

In the Add your OpenArray Plate serial numbers section, click Choose File, navigate to the
location of the TPF or SPF file, then select the file.
Repeat for each TPF or SPF file.
5.
(Optional) In the Add your sample plates - optional section, click Choose File, navigate to the
location of the CSV file, then select the file.
The file must be a CSV file for a 96-well format.
