Control Box Problems
This section lists possible System Five Control Box problems you
may encounter. If you still have problems after trying the solutions
listed here, contact your local Topcon Distributor.
Problem
The Control Box LCD does not display.
Causes Solutions
The Control Box does
not have power.
Check that the machine has power.
Check the power cable fuse. Replace if
necessary.
Check that all cables are properly and
securely connected to the System Five™
Box.
Disconnect cables and inspect them for
damage or contamination. Clean all
connections with an electrical contact
cleaner.
Problem
Control Box LCD displays “Error”.
Causes Solutions
The Control Box
cannot communicate
with the laser receiver.
When turning on the Control Box, watch
the lights on the laser receiver. The lights
should flash, indicating the Receiver has
power.
Check that all cable are properly and
securely connected.
Check and/or clean all cables as
described on page 6-1.
