TS-1 Sensor Installation
EachTS‐1sensorcontainsa3‐axis360°sensorelementwhichmustbeconfigureddependingonthe
mountingposition.TheTS‐1TiltSensorscanbe mountedinmanyorientationsaslongastheyareparallel
totheaxisbeingmeasured(Figure12).Locatesurfacesthatprotectthesensorfromphysicaldamageand
areconvenientforcablerouting.Whenthepositionoftheimplementisatzerodegrees(horizontal),
makeanoteofthedirectionofthearrowmarkeronthesensornameplate.Thisdirectionisneeded
duringcalibration.Thecalibrationprocessuses3D‐MCtoenterdirection,orientation,andothersensor
variables.
