8.2.2 Safety area of the outer support
The machine has a protective area, this is called ”safety area”. This area prevent
the off-set bend device for damages by the outer support and vice versa. It has the
effect, that the bending process will be interrupted, if the off-set bend device comes
into the “safety area” of the outer support device (Programm controlled).
In manual operation:
If the off-set bend device comes in the safety area, press Clamping forward to
clamp the tube between the bending dies. Press Chuck open and move the off-set
bend device via Length to load position out of the safety aera. The bending
process can be terminated then.
In automatic operation:
If the off-set bend device comes in the safety area, the tube will be clamped between
the bending dies. The collet of the off-set bend device does open and drives
automatical out of the safety area. The bending process will be finished.
Determination of the input value for the safety area:
The safety area is the distance between the center line of the bending shaft and the
rear edge of the pressure die; additional 20 mm safety distance. This length must be
put into the Tool Table of the control.
