8.1.3 Adjustment of the wiper die (Special equipment)
General notes over the operation mode of a wiper die:
The wiper die prevent a developing of a curved tubing inside during the bending
process. Developing of this wavy outline is usually material dependent.
Wiper dies can be referred of transfluid

in different materials. We recommend
however a special bronze (Ampco), from which also caliber and ballmandrels are
manufactured. This material is characterised by a high hardness with sufficient
tenacity, which guarantees a high abrasion resistance. Furthermore possesses this
material good sliding qualities.
Wiper dies are pre-mounted and adjusted on the machine body for the corresponding
tool on the machine by transfluid

