Cleaning the ion block assembly 5-39
1. Remove the ion block assembly from the source assembly (see
page 5-31).
2. Ensure that the isolation valve is closed.
3. Grasp the cone gas nozzle handle, and use it to rotate the sampling cone
assembly through 90 degrees.
4. Slide the sampling cone assembly out of the ion block assembly.
Caution: To ensure correct operation of the ion block assembly
after reassembly,
• do not remove the sampling cone assembly retaining blocks.
• do not adjust the screws securing the sampling cone assembly
retaining blocks.
