PROCEDURE
1 Cut out the injection of the related cylinder.
NOTE: If possible, the exhaust valve must always operate.
2 For an engine with direct controlled injection valves, disconnect the electrical connection
from the injection valve.
3 For an engine with conventional injection valves, disconnect the electrical connection from
the injection control unit (ICU).
4 If it is necessary to operate the engine with the injection cut out for an extended period, do
as follows:
4.1 Record the settings of the cylinder oil feed rate.
4.2 Decrease the cylinder oil feed rate for the related cylinder to the minimum setting.
5 Repair the fault as soon as possible, refer to the Maintenance Manual.
