1.8.3 Standard and LEFT engine
An engine is one of two types (refer to Figure 1-3):
•
A standard engine has the exhaust side (ES) on the right side of the engine (seen from
the driving end).
•
A LEFT engine has the exhaust side (ES) on the left side of the engine (seen from the
driving end).

NOTE: In the Spare Parts Catalogue parts that have the mark (LEFT) are only applicable for a
