RAP 7.10 SIMM Check-Out Procedure
1 Remove and reinstall the SIMM. Print a Status Report. The RAM size indicated on the Status
Report matches the memory actually installed in the printer.

| Go to step 3.
2 Return to the Entry Level RAP and continue.
3 Replace the Controller PWB (PL 10). Print a configuration sheet. The RAM size indicated on the
Status Report matches the memory actually installed in the printer.
YN
| Inform the customer that the SIMM appears defective or is not compatible with the printer.
A compatible SIMM is a EDO, 72 pin, 60 ns or faster, 32 bit, no parity.
4 Problem is resolved. Return to the Entry Level RAP and continue.
