2.4 Connecting the Power Supply
Connecting the Power Cord (if the power supply suffix code is -1)
Precautions to Be Taken While Connecting the Power Supply
Make sure to follow the warnings below when connecting the power supply. To prevent
electric shock and damage to the MV, observe the following warnings.
WARNING
Make sure that the power supply voltage matches the MV rated supply voltage
and is within the maximum voltage range specified for the power cord.
Confirm that the power switch is OFF before connecting the power cord.
To prevent electric shock, be sure to use a power cord provided by YOKOGAWA
for use with the MV.
To prevent electric shock, make sure to ground the MV
. Insert the desktop power
cord into a grounded 3-prong outlet.
Do
not use an ungrounded extension cord. If you do, the device will not be
grounded.
Use a power supply that meets the following conditions:
Item Condition
Rated supply voltage 100 to 240 VAC
Operating supply voltage
range
90 to 132, 180 to 264 VAC
Rated supply frequency 50/60 Hz
Power supply frequency range 50/60 Hz ± 2%
Maximum power consumption MV1000:45 VA (100 V), 60 VA (240 V)
MV2000:65 VA (100 V), 90 VA (240 V)
Note
Avoid using a power supply voltage of 132 to 180 VAC with the MV because such a power
supply voltage may reduce measurement accuracy.
Connection Procedure
1.
Check that the power switch is OFF.
2.
Connect the MV power cord to the power inlet on the rear panel.
3.
Make sure that the power outlet meets the conditions listed above and that the
power supply voltage is within the maximum voltage range specified for the power
cord. Then, plug the power cord into the power outlet. Use a grounded 3-prong
outlet.
