Perform Kinetic Test
The HFA3 Kinetic feature emulates manual standard Goldmann perimetry on Models 840, 850, and
860.
Overview of patient setup
and testing on the HFA3:
1. Select Patient.
2. Test Setup.
3. Set up Patient for Testing.
4. Administer the Test (one or both eyes).
5. Review and Save Results.
Select Patient
To select, add, and change patient information
follow the instructions in section “Perform Threshold
or Suprathreshold Test,” on page 4-1.
Test Setup
This section applies to both Kinetic tests. For further details see “Administer the Test (Manual
Kinetic),” on page 4-16 and “Preset Kinetic Tests,” on page 4-20.
Select the Test
For further details see “Select the Test,” on page 4-3.
Select Eye
Next to Perform test on select from the drop-down menu which eye to test: OD (Right), OS (Left), or
Both (default). Next to Start with select from the drop-down menu with which eye, OD or OS, you
want to start.
Note: The Binocular option appears when Manual Kinetic is chosen as the Test Pattern under Test
Parameters. This opt
ion will also appear if a custom kinetic pattern is chosen. See “Create Custom
Test Patterns,” on page 4-22.

Test Parameters
For a new patient, go to Test Parameters.
From the Test Type drop-down menu, select Ki
netic and choose the
desired Test Pattern.
If Manual Kinetic is chosen
you will manually determine stimuli and
test points during the test.

Additional Information (Optional)
If desired, enter IOP (intraocular pressure), Pupil Diameter
(available only if Auto Pupil is off), and Visual Acuity data.
