Removal of wrist unit
Use this procedure to remove the wrist unit.
NoteAction
DANGER
Turn off all:
electric power supply
hydraulic pressure supply
air pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot working
area.

CAUTION
The robot wrist unit weighs 25 kg (IRB 4600 -
60/2.05, - 45/2.05, -40/2.55) and 15 kg (IRB 4600
- 20/2.50).
All lifting accessories used must be sized ac-
cordingly!

Secure the wrist unit with a roundsling in an
overhead crane or similar.

Remove the attachment screws and carefully
remove the wrist unit.
CAUTION
Do not damage gears!

Refitting of wrist unit
Use this procedure to refit the wrist unit.

Clean all assembly surfaces.2
Remove any painting from the assembly sur-
faces, with a knife.
