Lifting instructions
Use this procedure to lift the robot in a safe way.
NoteAction
CAUTION
The IRB 4600 robot weighs 440 kg.
All lifting accessories used must be sized ac-
cordingly!

CAUTION
Attempting to lift the robot in any other posi-
tion than that recommended may result in the
robot tipping over and causing severe damage
or injury!

WARNING
Personnel must not, under any circumstances,
be present under the suspended load!

Move the robot to its most stable position.4
DANGER
Turn off all:
electric power supply
hydraulic pressure supply
air pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot working
area.

Attach roundsling A to the lifting lug on the
frame, and put folded in a U-shape on either
side of the upper arm.

Attach roundsling B at axis 3 gearbox by run-
ning it folded in a U-shape around the gear-
box.

Make sure the roundslings do not rub against
any sharp edges.
