Control Panel Description
The control panel is an animated liquid crystal display (LCD) contain-
ing the following items:
n Pressure-sensitive squares: The display is divided into pressure-
sensitive squares.
n Icons: Graphic pictures, called icons, appear on the control panel.
Icons represent objects (such as the imagesetter or an output
cassette) or functions that the imagesetter performs (such as
feeding media).
n Buttons: Icons that represent functions are called buttons. You
operate the imagesetter by pressing these buttons.
n Status icons: Pictures and numbers appear on the control panel to
show the current status of the imagesetter. These are called status
icons.
n Screen: The complete set of icons that appears on the control
panel at one time is called a screen.
