Error Terms PNA Series Microwave Network Analyzers
Information in This Appendix E8361A
Information in This Appendix
Your PNA series network analyzer calculates error terms by measuring well-defined
calibration devices over the frequency range of interest and comparing the measured data
with an ideal model for the devices. The differences of the compared data represent
systematic (repeatable) errors of the analyzer system. The analyzer calculates and stores
these differences as error terms. These error terms are then removed from subsequent
measurements when error correction is on.
NOTE For details on the various levels and theory of error-correction, refer to the
embedded help in the analyzer.
