To configure the controller for ASCII communication, perform this procedure.
1. In RSLogix 5000 programming software, right-click your controller and
select Properties.
The Controller Properties dialog box appears.
2. Click the Serial Port tab.
3. From the Mode pull-down menu, choose User.
4. Specify communication settings.
