Maintenance is particularly important in ensuring th
e safety of the
operator and the performance of the machine. Be sure to perform
maintenance on the machine as described below.
CLEANING
WARNING
O Before cleaning the machine, be sure to
stop the saw blade.
O When cleaning the machine by
discharging the cutting fluid from the
cleaning hose nozzle, wear protective
goggles.
At the end of the day’s work, clean the machine.
Be sure to stop the saw blade. Press and illuminate the CUTTING
FLUID button to discharge the cutting fluid through the cleaning hose
nozzle, and wash away chips from the parts of the machine.
Pay particular attention to the following parts:

Guide rails

Saw blade guides
NOTICE
O Never clean the upper saw blade guide and table with compressed air.
Doing so may force the chips onto the slides and gears to cause the upper
saw blade guide position detector to malfunction and the moving parts to be
damaged.
After washing away the chips, wipe off the moisture from rust-prone
surfaces like the table top surface and slide surfaces, and apply
machine oil to them for rust protection.
