NAMES AND FUNCTIONS OF MAIN PARTS
Driven wheel
A wheel to tension the saw blade.
When changing the saw blade, shift the
SAW BLADE TENSION keyswitch to
move up and down the driven wheel
hydraulically.
Wire brush
Clears chips from the teeth of the saw
blade. Driven by the wire brush motor.
Saw blade motor and
speed reducer
A mechanism to rotate the drive wheel.
The speed reducer allows the speed to
be changed by pressing buttons on the
control panel.
Hydraulic unit
A mechanism to supply the hydraulic
power to the saw blade tension cylinder,
saw blade insert clamp cylinders, and
other hydraulic parts. An integral
hydraulic pump and motor are installed.
Cutting fluid pump
A centrifugal (immersion) pump to send
the cutting fluid to the saw blade guide
nozzles and cleaning hose nozzle.
Laser beam unit (option)
Projects the shadow of the saw blade by
a red laser beam onto the work surface.
The work must be positioned by aligning
the scribed line of the work with the
projected red laser beam.
Control panel
Pushbuttons, keyswitches, and other
machine controls are arranged here.
Saw blade guides
A pair of upper and lower saw blade
guides to support the saw blade.
Drive wheel
A
wheel to drive the saw blade.
Mounted directly on the speed reducer.
The correct rotation direction is
clockwise when seen from the front of
the wheel.
Backgauge
(option)
Chip conveyor (option)
A
spiral conveyor to automatically
discharge the chips. Operated only
when the saw blade is running.
Signal tower
(option)
