3.4 USB Interface
A standard USB Series B device connector is located on the rear panel for remote control. A standard
USB cable between the power source and a PC may be used. Refer to user manual M447352-01 for
connector pin-out information.
Note: Use of the USB port to control more than one power source from a single PC is not
recommended, as communication may not be reliable. Use GPIB interface for multiple
power source control.
3.4.1 USB Driver Installation for Windows 7, 8, and 10

1. Connect USB cable from computer to Sequoia USB connector on the rear panel.
2. Turn ON Sequoia unit and open Device Manager on PC.
3. In Device Manager window under “Other Devices” there will be a “Virtual COM Port” with an
exclamation point.
4. Right click “Virtual COM Port” and click Update Driver Software. Select “Browse my computer
for driver software”
