Email collection and notification curfew
There is a curfew period of between 10pm and 7am during which automatic email
notification and automatic collection is suspended. If email arrives at Amserve for you
during this time, the
e-m@iler doesn't automatically collect it (or notify you) until the
following morning. This is because it cannot be guaranteed that your phone will not ring
for a second when an email notification is sent; so rather than risk waking users in the
night, notification is delayed. You can change the curfew period (or cancel it) by
contacting Amserve Support (see page 29).
& Email can be collected during the curfew period using manual collection or
by polling (if you’ve set polling to take place between 10pm and 7am).
Personal email options
➣
FAST TRACK: Press SETUP, 6, select/adjust required option(s), press
STORE.
The following options affect the individual user only:
♦ You can change the name quoted to recipients of your email. For example, when
people receive your messages you might prefer them to see the message: You
have mail from Pete rather than: You have mail from Peter M Stern.
♦ You can determine whether or not the
e-m@iler saves and stores sent email, text
and fax messages. By not saving sent messages, you can avoid using up the
e-m@iler's memory.
