Note, although outgoing text messages from the
e-m@iler are charged at the rate
displayed on the COMPOSE screen, any replies you receive will be charged at normal
email call rate.
We recommend you subscribe to Caller Display so that any text replies are
delivered to your e-m@iler straight away. If you don't subscribe to Caller
Display, then the reply won't be received until your
e-m@iler makes its next
email call.
& Note, as text messages are sent via land and mobile network service
providers, Amserve cannot guarantee their delivery.
If you wish to verify that your message has been sent, press READ (on the
e-m@iler) to display the list of messages, then check that the symbol is
displayed next to your message.
If the symbol
or
is displayed instead, this means the message has
not been sent – see 'Unsent messages' on page 60.
& Tip – if you've previously stored the mobile phone number, you can type in
the Address Book entry before you press MOBILE MSG to start composing.
To send or forward email to a mobile phone, see 'Sending email to an SMS mobile
phone' on page 70.
Each text message can be sent to one mobile phone only – you cannot include
more than one phone number in the To: box.
Reading and deleting text messages
Text messages are stored in the same manner as email messages. For information on
how to read, delete and print text messages, see 'Reading and deleting messages’ on
page 64.
