8. Load the plate in the instrument as described in
“Loading the Plate” on page 40.
IMPORTANT! Wear powder-free
gloves when you handle the ROI
calibration plate.
Creating a Plate Document for the Optical Calibration Run
1. Click (or select FileNew).
2. Configure the New Document dialog box:
a. Select AssayCalibration.
b. Select Container96-Well Clear.
c. Select Temp l a teBlank Document.
d. In the Operator field, enter your name.
e. In the Comments field, enter any additional
information that you want to save to the file
(such as the plate bar code).
f. In the Plate Name field, enter:
Calibration_<date in DDMMYY format>
For example, the name for a calibration
performed on May 31, 2005 would be:
Calibration_310505.
g. Click .
3. In the SDS software, select FileSave As.
4. In the Save As dialog box:
a. If the Save in field does not display SDS
Documents, navigate to D: driveApplied
BiosystemsSDS Documents.
b. Click .
