Chapter 5 Troubleshooting
5 Turn on the power.
a Plug the power cord into the power input terminal on the rear panel.
b Plug the power cord into an outlet.
c Press the main power switch on the rear panel to turn on the main power.
d Press the standby switch to turn on the power.
• The standby switch will light up.
5.5.2 Replacing the Column Tubes
If “W:094 Column is leaking at the bottom.” appears and liquid leaks even after tightening the push screws on the IN
and OUT sides, replace the column tube and push screws with new ones.
Prepare: Sealing screws (that were attached to the column when taken from its package, × 2),
spare tubes (for column IN and OUT), push screws, tissue paper, cotton swabs
and protective gloves
1 Remove the column.
a Access the column replacement screen and open the temperature control box cover. Then remove the column.
• See steps 1-a to 3-c in “4.2.4. Replacing the Column” on page 4-11.
b Seal the both ends of the column with the sealing screws.
Wear protective gloves to prevent exposure to pathogenic microbes.
Discard used tubes, push screws, cleaning tools and protective gloves in accordance with
local regulations for biohazardous waste.
