4.3.6 Cleaning the Dilution Container and Washing Container
Wash the dilution container unit and its cover once a month. (The unit consists of both the dilution container and
washing container.) Inaccurate measurement results may be obtained if the dilution container and washing container
are contaminated.
Prepare: Purified water, cotton swabs, gauze
and protective gloves
1 Prepare for cleaning.
a On the standby screen, select , <7 Maintenance menu> and <3 Dil. and wash. containers cleaning> in that
order.
b Press .
• The piercing nozzle will move to the rear to make it easy to access the dilution container unit. Liquid will be drained
from the dilution container and washing container.
c Wait for the screen shown on the right to appear.
Wear protective gloves to prevent exposure to pathogenic microbes.
Discard used cleaning tools and protective gloves in accordance with local regulations for
biohazardous waste.
Dil. and wash. containers cleaning

Open front cover for maintenance.
Close front cover after cleaning
even if not using instrument.
System will initialize.
