UDM Utility
Creating a New Project
To create a new UDM Utility project:
1. Select New Project from the Project menu.
The New Project dialog box opens.
2. Enter the filename for the new project in the File Name field. The program
automatically adds
.prj extension to the filename.
3. Click Open.
The New Project dialog box closes and the Attach Receiver data files dialog
box opens.
4. Navigate to the directory which contains the .
rdf file you want to attach to the
project, and double-click file or click Open.
UDM Utility creates a new project and displays the project name on the title
bar of the main window.
Opening an Existing Project
To open an existing UDM Utility project:
1. Select Open Project from the Project menu.
The New Project dialog box opens.
2. Double-click the .prj file you want to open or type the filename in the File
name field.
3. Click Open.
Understanding UDM Utility Environment
When you start UDM Utility, you can see the three distinct windows of the
program environment:
• The Folder list
• The Message Parameters pane
• The Warning window
If you do not see the Warning window, drag up the pane separator at the bottom of the main window.
Folder List
The Folder list (Figure 2) contains the all messages of the project. To view the
message variables and parameters for a given message, double-click on the
command.
