Tonolysis
Tonolysis is a method of two-channel alternating electrostimulation, which through proprioreceptive facilitation
of impulse transmission along nervous pathways aims at restoration of physiological balance of nerve fiber
stimulation. With tonolysis spastically paralyzed muscles are stimulated with short triangular or rectangular
impulse of high output current. In this way their strong contraction is evoked, which is followed by their
relaxation. In the phase of relaxation of spastic muscles, antagonistic muscles are stimulated with a sequence of
amplitude modulated impulses.
