9. Installing & Wiring AC Output Boards
AC output boards have NOT been validated for conformance with the CE EMC
directive. Additional measures beyond those specified here may be needed in
order to demonstrate EMC compliance at the machine level. Proof of EMC
conformance lies with the machine manufacturer.
18 gauge wire is recommended as a minimum, but make certain to satisfy all local
and national code requirements.
1.Connect L1 to the input side of the output board. There are four pins (Connec-
tor P12, Pins 3, 4, 5 and 6) where L1 must be connected. Each L1 input supplies
power to four outputs. Pin 3 powers Outputs 1 - 4; Pin 4 powers Outputs 5 - 8; Pin
5 powers Outputs 9 - 12; and Pin 6 powers Outputs 13 - 16.
Connect L2 to the input side of the output board. There are two pins (Connector
P12, Pins 1 and 2) where L2 must be connected. Each L2 supplies a common for
eight of the neon indicator lights (NOT the outputs).
2.Connect the outputs to the loads. Each output has a single, separate connection
(P13, Pins 1 - 16) from the board. Connect the other side of each of the loads to
L2. Note that each load must draw a minimum of 50 mA and a maximum of 1 Amp.
