4. Troubleshooting
Situation Solution
Wire unit (reference 1 image 4-19) of
the lens focus signals disconnected
from the Signal Backplane.
Remove the front cover and front dust lter from the projector and check if t he wire unit
(reference 1 image 4-19) is inserted in the Signal Backplane.
Disconnected wire unit of the S ignal
backplane.
Remove the front cover of the projector and check if the w ire unit (reference 4
image 4-1 9) is connected w ith the Signal bac kplane.
Malfunction Fan C ontrol bo ard. Replace the Fan Control board. See "Removing a board in the card cage", page 213.
Malfunction focus motor of the lens. Use the loca l keypad to focus the image on the screen. If unsuccessful, replace the
motorized lens.
Malfunction Signal Backplane (bad
connection).
Replace the Signal Backplane. See "Replacement of th e s ignal back plane", page 231.
Malfunction SM PS board which
supplies p ower to the lens.
Replace the SMPS board. See "Replaceme nt of the Switched M ode Power Supply",
page 281.
Code 5232: “lens horizontal shift position - requested target not reached” (Warning)
Situation Solution
The activated lens le does not
correspond with the lens m ounted
on the projector.
Activate a lens le which does correspond w ith the mounted lens or mount an othe r lens
which correspond with the lens le you want to activate.
Corrupt lens le. Delete all current lens les and create new lens les. Note that each time the lens
is removed new lens les has to be created. Setup all new lens lesawayfromthe
maximum limitation of the lens z oom. It is possible that lens le was originally created at
the maxim um or minimum zoom capabilities of the lens zoom. Program correct lens type
into com mun icator under Advanced/lens parameters and recreate the lens les.
The nal lens position lays very
close to the mechanical limits which
disable the motorized lens position.
Position the lens manually, or reposition the projector so that the lens position lays further
away from the mechanical limits, or try to use another lens which range is more s uitable.
Setup all new lens les away from the max imum limitation of the lens z oom. It is possible
that lens le was originally created at the ma ximum or minimum zoom capabilities of
the lens zoom. Program correct lens type into comm unicator un der Advanced/lens
parameters a nd recreate the lens les.
Disconnected wire unit of the
horizontal shift m otor of the
motorized lens holder.
Remove the front cover of the pr ojector and c heck if the wire unit is connected with the
shift motor. See r eference 1 image 4-20.
Disconnected w ire unit on the Signal
Backplane
Remove the front cover of the projector and check if the w ire unit (reference 2
image 4-2 0) is connected w ith the Signal bac kplane.
Malfunction Fan C ontrol bo ard. Replace the Fan Control board. See "Removing a board in the card cage", page 213.
Malfunction shift motor of th e
motorized lens holder.
Use the local keypad to shift the im age on the screen horizontally. If unsuccessful,
replace the horizontal shift motor of the m otorized lens holder.
Malfunction Signal Backplane (bad
connection).
Replace the Signal Backplane, s ee " Replacement of the signal back plane", page 231.
Malfunction SM PS board which
supplies p ower to the lens.
Replace the SMPS board. See "Replaceme nt of the Switched M ode Power Supply",
page 281.
