4. Troubleshooting
Code 5964: “light pipe - temperature sensor open” (Error)
Situation Solution
Wire u nit (re ference 1image 4-42)
of the temperature sensor is
disconnected from the Signal
Backplane.
Plug in the wire unit of the temperature sens or into its socket on the S ignal B ackplane.
Damaged wire unit o f the
temperature sensor which m easures
the temper ature of the cooling block
of the light pipe entrance.
1. Repair the wire unit.
2. If not repairable, r eplace the whole w ire unit and temperature sensor.
Defect temperature sensor on
the cooling block of the light pipe
entrance.
Replace the temperature s ensor.

Code 5965: “light pipe - temperature sensor short” (Error)
Situation Solution
Damaged insulation of the wire unit
of the temperature sensor (reference
1 image 4-42) w hich m easures the
temperature of thecooling block
of the light pipe entrance. When
disconnecting the wire unit of the
temperature s ensor from the Signal
backplane, the error code is changed
to “light pipe - tem perature sens or
open 5964”.
1. Repair the insulation of the wire unit using shrink sleeve.
2. If not repairable, r eplace the whole w ire unit and temperature sensor.
Defect temperature sensor on
the cooling block of the light pipe
entrance. When disconnecting the
wire unit (reference 1 image 4-42 )
of the temperature sensor from the
Signal backplane, the error code is
changed to “light pipe - temperature
sensor open 5964”.
Replace the temperature s ensor.
Code 6050: “dmd - temperature hardware protection wa rning” (Warning)
Situation Solution
DMD tempe rature low. Make sure that the ambient temper ature is within specs. Let the p rojector ac climate to
the normal room temperature which should be higher then 10°C (50°F) and lower then
35°C (95°F). Do not ignite the lamp, o therwise there is a risk for condensate.
DMD temper ature high.
Check all cooling systems: Air extraction s ystem, dust filters, ...
