Filling panels
BAUER filling panels are available as an optional extra for
all Verticus 5 breathing air compressors. According to re
quirements, they can be equipped with filling valves for
 hose connection (standard equipment) or
 direct bottle connection for
 one pressure range, PN 200 bar or PN 300 bar, or
 two pressure ranges.
The maximum number of filling valves on the panels is
 6 filling valves for one pressure range, or
 2 x 3 filling valves for two pressure ranges.
Fig. 6 shows a combined filling panel with 6x 300 bar filling
valves and 4x 200 bar filling valves including a pressure
reducer.
The number of filling valves depends on the compressor
supplied, which determines the filling time of the bottles.
The second pressure range can be
 selected by means of a switch-over valve, or
 permanently available by means of a pressure reducer.
On filling panels with a pressure reducer, bottles can be
filled simultaneously at different pressures, whereas on
filling panels with a switch-over valve, it is only possible to
fill bottles at one pressure at a time.
All filling panels can be optionally equipped with the B-
CONTROL compressor control. The control panel is built
into the filling panel. Filling panels equipped with the B-
CONTROL control panel can only be used with com
pressor units which are equipped with a B-CONTROL
compressor control.
Filling panels for single pressure range
The compressed air coming from the compressor or the
storage bottle flows through a cutting ring connector, for
a hose with an external diameter of 8 mm, into the filling
panel's pipe system and is led to the filling valves.
The filling pressure can be read on the filling pressure
gauge. For filling at PN 200 bar (2900 psi) with a 300 bar
(4350 psi) compressor, a pressure sensor is installed which
switches off the compressor when the filling pressure is
reached. A safety valve prevents the pressure from rising
above the adjusted pressure.
