Filling panels for 2 pressure ranges
The filling panel is equipped with filling valves for both 200
bar (2900 psi) and 300 bar (4350 psi).
The filling procedure is possible at either one or the other
pressure by means of a switch-over valve or a pressure redu
cer. The difference is: with the switch-over valve it is only
possible to fill bottles at one pressure at a time; with a pres
sure reducer, it is possible to fill bottles at 200 bar (2900 psi)
and 300 bar (4350 psi) at the same time.
On filling panels with a switch-over valve, the pressure is re
duced from the higher pressure range to the lower pressure
range by means of a venting valve.
The pressure reducer is installed directly upstream of the
lower pressure range. It reduces the filling pressure to the
desired pressure. A particle filter is installed before the pres
sure reducer to remove possible dirt particles from the com
pressed air.
On filling panels with two pressure ranges, a pressure
sensor is installed in the lower range which switches off the
compressor unit should the filling pressure be exceeded. A
safety valve prevents the pressure from exceeding the max
imum preset operating pressure.
Fig. 6 shows the model for 420 bar units with inlet pressure
reducer.
