died at once.

5.8 Checklist for Checking New
eBikes
Procedure
In the presence of the transportation company, check-
ing the package for damage, and if required,
immediately make a complaint
1. Work steps with DiagnosticTool
– Check whether the Application ID is entered
– If required, perform a software update
– Walk assistance - enable/disable if required
– Set the service interval
– Battery code no. - insert if required (for eBike
service report)
– Save the eBike diagnostic report
2. Carry out the general check of bicycle functions
3. Check the locking function of the battery
4. Check whether all cable are free and not pinched or
trapped.
5. Check the correct position from the magnet to the
speed sensor
6. Check torque of crank bolts (according to manufac-
turer's specifications, min. 40-45 Nm)
7. Angle of control unit - correct it if required
8. Check the on-board computer and correct if
required; test all on-board computer functions and
separate control unit
9. Check function of walk assistance
10. Check the light function if connected to the eBike
system
11. Test drive in all riding modes
12. Charge the battery before transferring the eBikes
and check the charging function
13. Prior to transfer of the eBike to the customer,
instruct him/her in the correct insertion/removal of
the battery
14. Work steps for Nyon
– Use the DiagnosticTool to load the map material
– Check function of navigation outdoors (map mate-
rial available after GPS positioning fix, see
p. 22)
– Customers registering offline
– Customers referring to smartphone app and
online portal
