Setting the starting gear
X Repeatedly press "RESET" and "i"
at the same time until the display
"Settings" appears.
X Repeatedly press the "i" button
until "Starting gear" is displayed.
X Set the starting gear by pressing
the buttons "+" and "–".
X In the "––" position, the auto-
matic function for shifting down a
gear is switched off

Gear change
X Actuate the Shimano gear lever
on the handlebar
X The newly selected gear is briefly
shown on the display.
For derailleur system: if the
gearing has been moved out
of position (e.g. due to an
impact on the gearing or a
fall), the gear system must be
reset. For this procedure, see
the operating manual of the
gear system manufacturer.
Gear adjustment
X Repeatedly press "RESET" and "i"
at the same time until the text
display "Settings" appears.
X Repeatedly press the "i" button
until "Gear adjustment" is dis-
played.
X Perform fine adjustment using
the "+" and "–" buttons according
to the operating manual of the
gear system manufacturer.
