Trailers
X Children's trailers/bicycles are not allowed (excep-
tion: Switzerland)
X Load/dog trailer allowed, if type-tested bicycle
trailer coupling available
X Only trailer with max. 50% of the mass of the vehi-
cle in running condition (= unloaded, without driver
and without battery)
Conversion and replacement of bicycle
parts
X Essential parts (e.g. drive, steering, compare special
equipment regulations) may not be modified or
require a new technical inspection if changed.
X In the case of infringements, there is a risk of loss of
the operating license and insurance coverage, as
well as criminal and financial prosecution.
X Only use original spare parts. Contact the bicycle
manufacturer before modification or replacement
using non-identical spare parts.
Other provisions
X Alcohol limits as for driving a car (depending on the
country 0.0 to 0.5 per thousand)
X Carrying on buses and trains is allowed in some
instances
