Removing the PowerTube
1. Open the lock, if not already done. Battery will be
unlatched and drops down to the restraint support.
2. Press on the restraint support from above. Battery
will be completely released and drops down onto
your hand.
3. Remove battery completely from frame.
Depending on the diverse constructions imple-
mented by the bike manufacturers, it may be that
insertion and removal of the PowerTube must
proceed in another way. See documentation of
respective bike manufacturer.
Battery locks are not Bosch spare parts and
must be purchased from ABUS, AXA-BASTA or
TRELOCK or their respective dealer partners.
3.6 Inserting and Removing the
PowerTube
Inserting the PowerTube
1. Open the lock (if not already done) and leave key in
lock.
2. Insert battery with the contacts inserted into the
lower mount.
3. Swing the battery upward until it is held by the
restraint support.
4. Press the battery upward until it latches firmly in
place.
Make sure it is securely mounted. PowerPack
must latch firmly in place,
otherwise it may fall out
of the mount during the ride.
5. Lock the lock, if required.
